The former Rialto Theatre opened on North Franklin Street in 1926. It has been in use as an auto repair shop for many years, but this was closed in late 2005. The stagehouse still retains a "ghost" of the painted sign reading "Rialto Theatre".

Listed in the 1941 & 1943 editions on Film Daily Yearbook with a seating capacity of 375. The 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook lists it as the Cinema, 1625 N. Franklin Street, Tampa, FL with a seating capacity given as 530.
The __L_S_____ that can still be seen on the front of the building is from the Holtsinger Motor Company, from around the block, who took over this building after the Rialto closed.
The carves proscenium is still intact inside. As of December 2011, the space is being rented as office furniture overflow storage by Kass & Shuler law firm. You can buy it for $875k :)
